Volunteer Work and Fundraising
I had the opportunity to fly to South Dakota and volunteer with Farm Rescue.  Farm Rescue is a non profit organization that helps family farmers plant and harvest their crops, after experiencing a crisis such as illness, accidents or weather related tragedies.  Below are some pictures of my trip.  This particular family had a tornado hit their home and farm. They lost everything they owned.  Farm Rescue was able to aid in farming their land.  I can't wait to go back next spring : ) Check out their website at www.farmrescue.org

What an honor it was to be invited to sing at the Apollo Theater in NYC for the 2008 Beyond the Tears Humanitarian Awards on Sept. 6th.  I sang "Love Is Always Near" written by Paul Yalen.  I met some really great and talented people there.  Thank you to Hardy Jimbes and McKevin Company for the opportunity and to Paul Yalen for accompanying me and taking care of business on the trip.
